This project seeks to improve the protection of Internally Displaced Persons and Returned IDPs/Refugees in Adamawa (Yola and Mubi LGAs), and in Borno (Banki and Ngala LGAs), through activities aiming to prevent, mitigate and respond to the sexual and gender based violence.
To reduce risk of SGBV and improve the quality of response.
Create and/or anchor existing capacities to foster gender equality and to prevent, mitigate and respond to SGBV
Leverage on existing community based-SGBV prevention and response mechanisms within targeted communities to address root causes of SGBV
Provision of material and psychosocial support to victims of SGBV as well as case management.
The project provides the following package of care to survivors of SGBV;
- Survivor-centered case management
- Psychosocial support
- Livelihood and entrepreneurship training
- Medical response to SGBV
- Non-formal learning
- Facilitate access to justice
